Supervision for MFTCs and LPCCs 

I love supervision, and because I love it, I take it seriously.

First and foremost, Shame does not play a role in my supervision. Instead, I invite Honesty, Groundedness, Self-Confidence, Community, Justice, and Modeling. I expect supervisees will make mistakes and that when they realize the mistake, they will contact me to process the situation and decide what to do next.

As an AAMFT Approved Supervisor, I'm interested in your systemic development as a clinician. This means we discuss your case notes, treatment plans, use of theory, understanding of ethics and jurisprudence, time management (in and out of session), ways to advocate for your clients within flawed systems, Self-of-the-Therapist (SOTT), relationships with other mental health providers, and your hopes for your future in the field. I expect that supervisees will mess up at some point(s), and it is my job to keep Shame from preventing you from getting the support you need.
