Songs to Help You Get Out of a Pit
Hello Everyone!
It has been quite a while since my last blog post. In this time I have been busy seeing clients and teaching at UC Denver and haven't had the time to post consistently. However, I did have an idea for a post of songs that help people get out of "pits," or the low places we sometimes find ourselves. Given the fact that as I am writing we are in a state of National Emergency and a global pandemic, I thought it might be even more helpful to post such a topic. Below is a list of songs that have helped people start to climb out of a pit. To be transparent, this list comes from a combination of me, people in my personal life, and clients of Boes Therapy Services, LLC. Links are provided to YouTube videos for each song.
One Man Wrecking Machine by Guster (mild references to drug use)
Peanut Butter Jelly by Galantis (some sexualized content in the music video)
Come Downstairs and Say Hello by Guster (Lindsey's #1 pick)
Please take care of yourselves and others during this time of uncertainty. If you are experiencing struggle please reach out to a therapist you trust. If you don't know of any therapists feel free to reach out to me and I will help you locate some options.
Best wishes,
Lindsey
